Collection of photos from NIH as well as St. Luke's - Roosevelt hospital archives. SLRHC has been home to an impressive list of surgical breakthroughs. These discoveries include the first use of sterile surgical gloves and Dr. Charles McBurney's famous incision for appendectomy.
