Mount Sinai Roosevelt is a hospital in the Mount Sinai health care system. Located in New York, the hospital serves Midtown and West Side of Manhattan, and it provides community and tertiary-care health services. Roosevelt hospital also offers a range of primary care services through ambulatory and physician practices and partnerships, and it also has an emergency department.

The clinical services offered at the Roosevelt hospital, which include endovascular surgery, cancer, cardiology, as well as bariatric surgery, are aimed at providing both excellent patient care and a high level of comfort for the patients. The hospital has 505 beds, part of which are in the deluxe hospital accommodation wing with private rooms and suites. These feature a number of amenities that will make the patient’s stay at the hospital as pleasant as possible. Patients who are in the deluxe accommodation wing, can also receive visitors throughout the whole day.

This hospital system is widely respected for it high quality care and research contributions.

St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals share a rich history with respect to surgical and anesthetic innovations. The New York Obesity Research Center

The New York Obesity Research consists of the Weight Control Unit and provides therapy for about 150 obese outpatients per week. Since its inception in 1977, more than 4000 obese patients, representing a broad cross-section of ethnic groups and socio-economic classes, have been treated at the Core's Weight Control Unit and more recently at the Vanltallie Center for Nutrition and Weight Management. SLRHC Robotics and Surgical Sciences Lab

The SLRHC Surgical Research Laboratory serves as a core facility to centralize research projects and facilitate collaboration between surgeons representing their respective divisions. Our group consists of members specializing in Aneurysm Biology, Bariatric Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery, and Vascular and Endograft Surgery. We also collaborate with many other SLRHC hospital departments including the Departments of Pathology, Pulmonology, and Cardiology. Projects also include alliances with researchers at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.

St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Internal Medicine Residency Program

The Department of Medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center is affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. The Medical Service conducts an impressive research program in its various divisions at the Hospital Center; over $26 million in extramural funding comes to SLRHC, more than half from federal sources, including NIH- funded projects and clinical trials. Many residents choose to fulfill their American Board of Internal Medicine mandated participation in scholarly activity by becoming research partners with our faculty researchers.
